The mission of the Hungarian National Chapter is to harmonise and align the development and update of assessment systems of the participant Hungarian entities on national level along the CoARA commitments in order to create a framework for the interoperability of assessment.

1. Provide a forum for exchange and open discussion to establish state of the art of research assessment in participating institutions
2. Assess feasible changes compliant with CoARA commitments, as well as to identify the hurdles and bottlenecks for institutional implementation
3. Identify external factors that influence or impact the reform process
4. Develop a database of tools and evaluation mechanisms with an aim to fill institutional gaps and update the existing national database of research assessment data
5. Build a database of feedback from all stakeholders and compare to international best practices
6. Evaluate new practices year on year, share best practices, and optimise resources
